KENYA TO HOST 2009 MTV AFRICA MUSIC AWARDS

MTV Networks Africa and telecommunications company Zain today revealed that Kenya has been picked to host the 2009 MTV Africa Music Awards with Zain (MAMA). The annual celebration of the African continent’s contemporary music and youth culture will take place on Saturday 10 October 2009 at the Indoor Arena, Moi International Sports Centre, Nairobi, airing to a potential TV audience of 1 billion viewers around the world.

Im very excited about this one,talk about being consistent (i mean Nigeria last year and now Kenya? that's great, clearly Johannesburg or Cape Town are not far from hosting this event that brings our neighbours together and celebrate home talents), i guess i have an excuse to go to Kenya in 6months

Trevor Noah To Host The SAMA's

Comedian Trevor Noah has been chosen to host the 15th Annual South African Music Awards on the 2nd of May 2009 in Sun City

The funnyman is looking forward to the task: “I’m excited about it,” says Trevor. “This is the biggest show in South Africa. It’s well attended and millions of people are watching, so for me it’s going to be quite special.” Last year almost three and half million viewers tuned in to see who would take home the coveted statues, and Trevor can expect as many, if not more, fans watching his every move live from Sun City’s Super Bowl.
